About MediaProof

We built MediaProof to solve a specific problem: immigration attorneys spend hours manually researching media outlets to prove they qualify as “major media” for EB-1A petitions. We automated that work.

How MediaProof works

MediaProof is an AI-powered SaaS tool that generates USCIS-ready media outlet qualification reports for EB-1A extraordinary ability visa petitions. Our reports document whether a media outlet qualifies as “major media” under 8 CFR §204.5(h)(3)(iii), the criterion requiring published material about an alien in professional or major trade publications or other major media.

  1. Submit article URL.Enter the URL of an article that covered your client, the beneficiary's name, and their industry. No additional information needed.
  2. Automated research. We use Perplexity Sonar Pro to research the outlet's editorial history, founding date, awards, and industry standing.
  3. Traffic data verification. We pull real-time traffic metrics from SimilarWeb including monthly visitors, global rank, country rank, and category rank — with timestamped screenshots for USCIS evidentiary purposes.
  4. Report generation. Claude AI synthesizes all research into a structured qualification analysis mapped to 8 CFR §204.5(h)(3)(iii) standards, 1,200–2,000 words with inline citations.
  5. PDF delivery. A formatted PDF exhibit package is generated and delivered to your dashboard, ready to attach to Form I-140.

Every MediaProof report draws on verified third-party data sources:

Why citations matter for USCIS

USCIS adjudicators evaluating EB-1A criterion (iii) look for evidence that the publication is major media — not just any media. This typically requires demonstrating significant traffic, national or international circulation, and recognized standing in the field. MediaProof documents exactly this evidence in a format USCIS officers expect to see.
